Kenyon College Leadership Awards
Applications Open for 2025!
The Kenyon College Leadership Awards is a prior tradition that the Office of Student Engagement is excited to bring back to campus this April! This ceremony celebrates members of the Kenyon community who demonstrate exceptional skills in leadership, advocacy, community engagement, and more.
The event has been renamed to the "The Gundies", and is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 10 from 8pm-9:30pm in the Gund Commons Ballroom. The event will feature a photobooth, small giveaways, heavy appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as an awards ceremony to recognize, support, and celebrate our community.
Who is Eligible for a Leadership Award?
Any Kenyon student organization/campus event is elligiable. The Leadership Award Selection Committee will assess submissions by focusing more on learning, attitudes, action, and accomplishments than on previous awards or titles. In some cases, an award may be designed for specific groups/events (example: New Student Organization of the Year, Outstanding Affinity Program of the Year etc).
How to Apply for Leadership Awards
Applications for the 2025 Kenyon Leadership Awards are NOW OPEN! Select the award you would like to nominate an organization/event for and fill out the form that is associated with that award. If you wish to nominate for multiple awards you will have to fill out a seperate form for each one. You do not have to be a part of the organization you are nominating.
All applications/nominations are due Friday, February 28 at 11:59PM.
- Review the Award Descriptions to see what awards the organizations/events you want to celebrate might be a great candidate for
- Write out your answers for the awards on a separate document (the system can time out so we STRONGLY recommend this.
- Celebrate your achievements! Inevitably there will be more students than we can recognize every year, so tell yourself (or the person you nominated) that hard work is noticed and pays off!
